Plastic... naturally! Biodegradable. A polymer from maize, PLA (polylactid acid) by NatureWorks.
Showing at Interpack 2005 in the special pavillon dedicated to innovative and ecological materials, a very satisfied NatureWorks LLC (the cargill Group) foun that PLA is no longer a "curiosity" polymer, but a valid alternative in growing number of packing application for food, drinks and other consumer goods. A young material, polyactid acid has proven to be a valid tool for all those brands that have accepted the challenges of differentiation and protection of the environment.
